NCDMB STRUCTURE?

The Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB) was established by the President, Dr. Goodluck Ebele Jonathan following the signing into law of the NOGICD Act on 22nd April, 2010.

Some of the responsibilities saddled on the board include but not limited to:

• Increase indigenous participation in the oil and gas industry,
• Build local capacity and competencies,
• Create linkages to other sectors of the national economy and
• Boost industry contributions to the growth of our National Gross Domestic Product.

NCDMB Mission Statement

• Opening the Oil and Gas Industry to involve the Nigerian people.
• Cementing access to Oil fields for higher productivity
• Building capabilities in Nigeria to support increased investment in the industry

 NCDMB Organization Structure

• A Chairman who shall be the Minister of Petroleum Resources
• Executive Secretary who shall be the Secretary of the Council

A representative of:

• Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation,
• The Agency in charge of Technical regulation of the industry,
• Ministry of Petroleum Resources
• Petroleum Technology Association of Nigeria,
• Nigerian Content Consultative Forum,
• Council of Registered Engineers of Nigeria,
• National Insurance Commission

Directorates namely:

The Directorate of Finance and Personnel Management;

• The Directorate of Planning, Research and Statistics;
• The Directorate of Monitoring and Evaluation;
• The Directorate of Legal Services; and

The Office of the Executive Secretary which also has embedded, 2 Divisions:

• Capacity Building
• Projects and Operations

Other structures under the supervision of the Board include:

• The Nigerian Content Development Fund (NCDF)
• The Nigerian Content Consultative Forum (NCCF)
