GRE PIPE-FITTINGS.

Bell Oil & Gas Limited an indigenous oil servicing company with operational base in Port Harcourt and head office in Lagos, has successfully commissioned a Glass-fibre Reinforced Epoxy (GRE) Spooling Yard, equipped with state of the art technology.

GRE SPOOLING FACILITY.

With over ten (10) consecutive years in the business of GRE, Bell Oil & Gas Limited has at the moment developed “In-Country Capacity” with a fully functional spooling facility managed solely by an indigenous workforce. A few years back these activities were being managed by an expatriate team flown in to guarantee the integrity of work done at every point when Clients required their services.

Also celebrated was a huge transfer of technology being unveiled by Bell Oil & Gas Limited, as the local workforce now certified by the National Oilwell Varco (NOV) to train, also  her services being deployed across other West-African countries.

Glass Reinforced Epoxy (GRE), being the technological solution to corrosion challenges faced in several industries (chemical and industrial plants, oilfields, refineries etc.) today due to the different characteristics of the fluid being conveyed by pipes (temperature, pressure etc.) and the complexity of the pipe routing depending on the application.

The unique specifications of these pipes and spools are constructed in the Spooling Facility, which certainly cannot be achieved by a pipe mill, the advantage remains that GRE contain no metallic component.

 At the commissioning of this facility, the Executive Secretary of the Nigerian Content Development & Monitoring Board (NCDMB), Mr. Denzil Amagbe Kentebe in company of other key personnel of the Board, commended the management of Bell Oil and Gas Limited on the great achievement In-Country, which happened to be a product of the Nigerian Content Equipment Certificate (NCEC) initiative  and urged the key International Oil Companies present to give them the required support, in consideration of the value the facility will add to the Nigerian economy.

GRE FITTINGS

In response, the Managing Director,Mr. Kayode Thomas stated that the company pioneered the installation of GRE pipes in Nigeria since 2004, and has further consolidated with this initiative. He further expressed the company's intention to develop human capacity by training and also certifying trainers thereby strategically positioning Nigeria as the hub for GRE pipes in Africa
