Why do we need a Nigerian Content Department, as a Nigerian Company?

From implementation of the NOGICD Act, in 2010 this question has always been a topic of contention especially with indigenous companies, querying the essence when majority of the company's equity in Nigerian owned and also the workforce is Nigerian.

 

The company management still questions, Why do we need to have a Nigerian Content Department or a Nigerian Content Contact Staff?
