ENERGY WORKS TECHNOLOGY UNVEILS FIRST MADE-IN-NIGERIA: 90mm STAINLESS STEEL CLAD VESSEL
Energy Works Technology (EWT) Limited is a Nigerian indigenous company incorporated in 1999 having its construction
yard located within the NestOil Industrial Area, End of Okilo Road, Abuloma,
Port Harcourt, Rivers state.
Energy Works Technology
Ltd. (EWT) has been a pioneer in pressure vessels, process equipment manufacturer,
steel structures fabrication and an EPCI service provider in the Nigerian and
West Africa region, serving the Oil & Gas as well non-Oil & Gas
sectors.
EWT’s current capabilities
include a full range of fabrication services for certified process packages and
steel structures. She commenced construction of Mega Workshop in July, 2010.
Operations commenced within partially completed facility in 2012 and the Mega
workshop was completed in December 2013.
OVERVIEW OF THE SOKU NON-ASSOCIATED GAS (NAG) PROJECT
Awarded to EWT in 2012 with the sole objective of
developing the in-country fabrication capacity in line with the NOGICD Act,
2010, thereby ensuring the availability of local capacity to handle future
projects of such complexity.
The vessel which is 90mm thick, 316 stainless
steel clad Inlet Separator is of 3.2m Internal Diameter and 6.7m Tan/Tan
length, the overall length of the vessel is 12.03m
This Stainless steel
Clad Separator Vessel in addition to other compression packages will enable the
Client: Shell Petroleum Development Company (SPDC) extend the production of
reservoirs that would not have the energy to overcome the gas plant’s high back
pressure. This reservoir would be produced at a lower back pressure ca. 40 bar
and Compression would be used to boost back gas pressure into the gas plant for
further processing before export to NLNG Facility in Bonny. This is aimed at
increasing efficiency of the reservoir at Soku NAG.
The inlet Separator will be used to knock out
entrained liquids from the feed natural gas.
IN-COUNTRY
ACHIEVEMENT
In the course of executing this project, EWT has developed
and trained her local workforce in extended specialties and also acquired equipment
for specialized activities in the fabrication process.
The unveiling ceremony gathered several stakeholders in the industry, like the Executive Secretary of the NCDMB, Mr.Denzil Kentebe in company of other key personnel of the Board, representatives from SPDC and other IOC's.
